The age to form the right eating habits
The age 6 to 12 is key for kids to form their eating habits. Food they eat and like at this age they will enjoy for life.
During this period of growing up kids are trying to become more independent, they voice and argue about their choices of food and most of all they pick from time to time food themselves. They receive their first pocket money and they spend it on things they like.
And at this age, with school and other activities they meet up with other kids without the close surveillance of parents or supervisors and are influenced by the choices of others.
During this age they are also flooded by the press and TV for unhealthy foods which are heavily marketed.
